BMW Z3 96-02

The BMW Z3 was introduced in 1996 as a Roadster - the Coupe model followed in 1998. The Z3 model is built on the E36 3 Series platform - the technical model designations for the models are E36/7 (Roadster) and E36/8 (Coupe), respectively. The car is available with a range of different powerful engine variants and was replaced by the Z4 model in 2002.

The Z3 is the first car in BMW's popular Z series - development began back in 1991 and design was completed in 1993. The car received a light facelift in 1999 (LCI) where mainly the rear end was changed externally, as well as new engine variants.
