How do I know if my car is a WLTP model?

Depending on the car model, the VW group has modified the 1.0 TSI engine to comply with new emission standards issued by the WLTP testing norm from 2019/2020.

Therefore, most new models from the 2020-2021 model year will have been modified to comply with the new WLTP standards – if you are in doubt, it is quite easy and quick to check.

If you open the hood – you should look for this small piece of pipe as illustrated here in the picture, if the car has the pipe it is a WLTP model – if not, it is a model “before” the WLTP change.
